The immune system of camelids (llamas, alpacas and alpacas) is different from that of other animals in that their serum contains, in addition to the traditional IgG, an antibody to VHH that has lost its light chain.VHH is only 13-15 kDa in size, and is characterized by its small size, good stability, high solubility, and ability to be cleared from the bloodstream and penetrate deep into the tissues quickly, and it has a unique antigen-binding property compared to antibody fragments. VHH has been widely used in the field of antigen binding. We can use various types of antigens to immunize alpacas and construct VHH immune libraries based on phage display technology according to the needs of our customers. Our VHH immune libraries are diversified and can effectively produce VHH with high affinity to the original antigen, and we keep pre-made natural immune libraries in our laboratory, which do not require immunization of animals and greatly shorten the preparation time of VHH. We can also construct VHH-based synthetic libraries and semi-synthetic libraries according to customer needs. We isolate peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC) from alpacas, and clone the acquired VHH gene into phage display vectors, which can generate a huge library of VHH antibodies through reverse transcription and polymerase chain reaction. We utilize the antigens required by our customers, and this library undergoes multiple rounds of screening and enrichment to obtain VHH antibodies that meet the needs of our customers for research, diagnosis or therapy.
