VHH Antibody Functional Research Service
Introduction Of VHH Antibody Functional Research Service
VHH antibody is derived from camelids ( camel, llama, alpaca) and sharks, and contains only one heavy chain antibody variable region, which is the smallest antibody with binding ability, with a size of only 12-15 kDa.VHH has the advantages of small size, good water-solubility, high stability, high acid resistance, low immunogenicity, high blood clearance and high tissue permeability. Based on these properties, VHH is widely used in affinity capture, biosensing, molecular imaging, diagnosis and treatment of diseases, etc. VHH is usually derived from immunobanks or natural libraries, and specific VHH antibodies are obtained by phage display and screening techniques.VHH is easy to be mass-produced in E. coli, and it has unique antigen-binding properties compared with other recombinant antibodies.

We validate the prepared VHH antibodies using common immunological experimental techniques to ensure that the antibodies have strong affinity and specificity. We also evaluate the antibodies and optimize experimental parameters to ensure confidence in the results. Alpha Lifetech validates the reproducibility, specificity, stability and affinity of antibodies through protein immunoblotting (WB), immunohistochemistry (IHC), immunocytochemistry (ICC), immunofluorescence (IF), enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA), immunoprecipitation (IP), chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP), peptide array, flow cytometric analysis (FC), and knockdown cell lines. , stability and affinity to ensure that the VHH antibodies we prepare meet our customers' needs. We validate the specificity of VHH antibodies by protein immunoblotting (WB) to ensure that they have a single band of the expected size; we use immunohistochemistry (IHC) to visualize protein expression in tissue samples, and we stain and localize tissue sections with VHH antibodies to verify that the antibodies bind specifically to the desired proteins in the tissues; and we also utilize RNA interference (RNAi ) or CRISPR/Cas9-mediated gene knockdown, among other technologies, to ensure that the VHH antibody is specific to the intended target by silencing or knocking down the target protein. We also provide services such as cellular value-addition or invasion assays to ensure the in vivo potency of the antibodies.
