Product Background

TNFRSF10B, also known as CD262 or Death Receptor 5 (DR5), is a cell surface receptor belonging to the tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily (TNFRSF). It plays a critical role in apoptosis (programmed cell death) by binding to its ligand, TNF-related apoptosis-inducing ligand (TRAIL). Upon TRAIL binding, TNFRSF10B trimerizes and recruits intracellular adaptor proteins, such as FADD (Fas-associated death domain), to form the death-inducing signaling complex (DISC).
