Product Background

PCSK9 is a serine protease primarily synthesized in the liver, with a structure comprising a prodomain, catalytic domain, and C-terminal cysteine-rich domain. It regulates cholesterol homeostasis by binding to low-density lipoprotein receptors (LDLRs) on hepatocytes, promoting their lysosomal degradation.
