CD40 (CD40 molecule) is a protein coding gene and a member of the TNF receptor superfamily. The encoded protein is a receptor on antigen-presenting cells of the immune system, which is crucial for mediating various immune and inflammatory responses, including T cell dependent immunoglobulin conversion, memory B cell development, and germinal center formation. Its related pathways include Akt signaling and TNF superfamily human ligand receptor interaction and related functions, transmitting TRAF6- and MAP3K8-mediated signals, activating ERK in macrophages and B cells, and inducing immunoglobulin secretion.

We conduct stability studies under different storage conditions and evaluate immune responses to ensure the effectiveness of biosimilars when used in research.

Product Background

CD40 is a type I transmembrane protein that exists in antigen-presenting cells and is essential for its activation. CD154 (CD40L) on T H cells can activate antigen-presenting cells and induce various downstream effects by binding to CD40. CD40 (protein) can interact with TRAF2, TRAF3, TRAF6, TRAF5, and TTRAP. The remaining members of the TRAF4 family, TRAF4, can positively regulate CD40 signaling but indirectly interact with CD40. CD40 also interacts with CD40L, activating dendritic cells and thus antigen-specific T cells.
