Product Description |
Mosunetuzumab is a humanized anti-CD20/CD3 bispecific antibody used to treat relapsed or refractory follicular lymphoma. |
Mechanism of Action |
Mosunetuzumab is a full-length, humanized anti-CD20/CD3 bispecific antibody that targets CD20-expressing B-cells. Mosunetuzumab recruits T-cells and leads to their activation by promoting the formation of an immunologic synapse between a target B-cell and a cytotoxic T-cell. The activation of T-cells leads to the directed release of perforin and granzymes through the immunologic synapsis, which ultimately induces B-cell lysis and cell death. |
Metabolism |
Mosunetuzumab is a protein therapeutic. It is expected to be degraded into small peptides and amino acids via catabolic pathways. |

FAQ
-

What is CD3, and why is it important in immunotherapy?
CD3 is a protein complex found on T cells that plays a crucial role in T cell activation and immune responses. It is a key target for bispecific antibodies, such as CD3x tumor antigen bispecifics, which recruit T cells to kill cancer cells.

Why is CD20 a significant target in B-cell malignancies?
CD20 is a surface protein expressed on B cells and is a key target for treating diseases like non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) and chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). Anti-CD20 monoclonal antibodies, such as rituximab, help deplete B cells through immune-mediated mechanisms. -

How are bispecific antibodies evaluated in preclinical studies?
Assays include binding affinity (SPR/BLI), cell-based cytotoxicity, pharmacokinetics, and toxicity profiling in animal models.
