Fab consists of light chain (VL + CL) and heavy chain (VH + CH1), which are connected by interchain disulfide bonds, and consists of 440-450 amino acids with a molecular weight of about 55 kDa. Fab has the advantages of small size, high specificity in tissue distribution, and low immunogenicity, and has been widely used in medical fields such as disease prevention, diagnosis, and treatment. In addition, due to its permeability, Fab antibodies have been widely used in various research fields such as immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence and flow cytometry, etc. Fab antibodies are usually prepared by using phage display libraries, which can be used to screen Fab antibodies with high affinity and specificity in a short period of time.

We generally select Fab antibodies with an affinity of 10^8 after 4 rounds of library screening.
